Review of Rachel’s Tale

Good Pussy Bad Pussy

I Was asked by the Author to review this book Good Pussy Bad Pussy and was very happy to take her up on the offer.

As always, I will start with the description.

Most married women only dream of having sex with other men, but Rachel does. And it gets her into all kinds of trouble. From Amsterdam to the French Riviera to New York City…from her blond lover Stefan, to aristocratic Albert, and mad doctor Howard, Rachel tastes forbidden fruit – and likes it. That is until life takes a very surprising turn!

I feel I should start by saying I am not really into books. Since I started blogging I just haven’t had the time to pick up a good book and give it the attention all good books require. You know what’s it’s like, you pick it up and then before you know it your addicted and can’t put it down. I thought this might be one I could fit into my coffee breaks and that’s exactly what I did.

To begin with I thought I had a good grip of where the story line was taking me, I could resonate with Rachel and how she was feeling. I am sure so many other women could relate to her predicament. Stale marriage and feeling of entrapment. We all want and seek excitement. That’s exactly what Rachel was going to get and a hell of a lot more.

I started off wishing Rachel all the best, understanding her and her need to express herself in new ways. It gives a great insight into how a lot of women feel. Why shouldn’t we all have fun and enjoyment even when in a long-term relationship?

I must confess the first half of the book didn’t have me gripped. Maybe this could just be me. It takes me a long time to warm up to a new storyline. I studied English Literature when I was younger, I think this may have changed my way of thinking when it comes to reading. I always start by analysing every detail rather than letting myself get lost in it. I felt that the storyline was a little weak and maybe lacked what I like to call the QUICK SAND, you know that thing that keeps you wanting to know more? You tell yourself you will stop at the next chapter, however when the time comes you say, “Just one more”.

The second half of the book, well let me tell you, this took a very unexpected wicked twist. Suddenly I wanted to know more. Where was the author going with this? poor Rachel gets herself into a crazy situation a dark and scary reality. I am sure the saying goes, be careful what you wish for.

It had me wishing I was there. Maybe I could give this poor girl some decent advice. You want to jump into the book and save her from herself. There is never smoke without fire and this is something Rachel needs to learn.

There was one scene that I felt really immersed, without giving too much away, Rachel has found herself at home. I felt so happy she had left New York and the darkness she experienced there and now she was safe thousands of miles away. Only I wasn’t going to feel good for very long. BOOM! your feelings as a reader are shaken.

I was so on edge, just how unlucky could one person be? Could this be happening to this poor girl?  The second half of the book had me hooked. The author had me right where she wanted me to be. Desperate to know how it was all going to work out. How could Rachel unravel herself from this mess?

I ended up reading the second half of the book in one go. I just needed to know. I wanted to scream at Rachel through the book. I was angry at Howard and the whole time I just wished Albert would knock on the door and save her. Just as I thought the author was winding the book down BOOM! she was off again giving us yet another twist. Again, having us on the edge of your seat wishing and praying for Rachel. Give this girl a break already.

By the end of the book I felt I had been on a roller coaster ride so many ups and downsTwists and turns all over the place. From the darkest depths to the highest euphoria.

Summery:

I can totally see how this storyline would resonate with so many of its readers. to begin with I just couldn’t. I have never found myself in Rachel’s situation before and was finding it hard to keep up with what she was getting herself into. I was a little disappointed at what she was prepared to give up for her own excitement.

Once I hit the second half, things took a turn in a completely different direction and suddenly I felt gripped. It was both intriguing and bewildering at the same time. The author pulled me in and had me slap bang in the middle of the most compelling, unbelievable twist of fate. I was asking questions, and was looking desperately for the answers WHY? HOW?

Overall Good Pussy Bad Pussy was a good book which will immerse you in a crazy, dark, intriguing world.  Full of twists and turns and highs and lows. Credit to A. Aimee for how she managed to pull me into the story line as this is not an easy task.

There wasn’t as many sex scenes as I was expecting, especially with the title and felt that the sex scenes that were included could have been juiced up a bit. But then I am a sex blogger and I am a little desensitised so maybe this is why I felt like this.

You can buy this book on amazon HERE for £2.84 Kindle edition and £8.99 Paperback copy. Its good value for money so I definitely recommend it for your coffee breaks.

Thanks for Reading
