Pocket Pulse Remote Review

I was recently sent the Pocket Pulse Remote from Hot Octopuss free of charge in exchange for my honest unbiased review. Hot Octopuss have not influenced my opinion in any way.

First Impressions

The Pocket Pulse Remote arrives in basic yet stylish packaging.

In the box you will receive the Pocket Pulse, Remote, USB charger and a drawstring bag for storage when not in use. (as pictured above)

The Pocket Pulse was heavier than we were expecting, but does fit neatly in your hand.

The product is stylish and does not resemble any other guybrator that we own, which we thought was a good thing.

Operating the Pocket Pulse Remote was very simple.

The unit has two buttons, plus/minus which sit at either side of the unit.

To operate the Pocket Pulse once fully charged you just press the plus button. If you continue to press this button the speed will be increased.

Pressing the minus button decreases the speed of vibrations as well as turning the unit off.

To use the remote that is included with the Pocket Pulse, you must first turn on the main unit. After the main unit is powered you can then use the remote to control the vibration speeds. The remote does not turn the main unit on or off.

Although the Pocket Pulse Remote is very easy to use we would have liked to see a power button on the remote, so we could turn the unit on using this alone.

We found the Pocket Pulse Remote very loud when in use which was a disappointment for us. Having kids, we find that the quieter the toy the more likely we are to get it out during couples play. KD also felt that if he was a single guy living at home with his parents he wouldn’t want to use a toy which is loud.

When I say loud, we had the TV on the music channel at a decent volume. A trick we use to drown out our moans late at night when the kids are in bed. When the Pocket Pulse Remote was at full speed you could easily hear it over the TV.

The Unit was quick and easy to charge, and we felt that it holds a charge well.

The Pocket Pulse can be used with either a flaccid or erect penis which we thought was a great feature and one in which KD particularly liked. He felt that this helped him to get erect without having to be too hands on himself.

I was so excited to receive the Pocket Pulse Remote, usually we test a lot of female products so to get one for men was a welcome change.

Using the remote I was in control for once which I thought would be a lot of fun.

This guybrator is used to enhance the way you masturbate adding a new dimension to your playtime.

The Pocket Pulse Remote is waterproof so can be used in the shower or bath if desired.

We used it in several ways before writing up our review.

Solo –

KD used this on his own to begin with so he could get a feel for how it worked. He said that he felt that it was definitely an upgrade from having a wank when used with plenty of lubrication.  However, he didn’t feel that the vibrations done all that much for him in the way of stimulation. He was not able to climax on his own using the Pocket Pulse, but did feel that over a longer period of time this would have been possible for him.

Couples –

Finally, it was my turn, I could play with KD using the Pocket Pulse to enhance my usual hand jobs. I have to say I did find this slightly difficult especially with the angle that my hands had to be at. After a while it was apparent that the stroking part was easier for the receiver to do on their own. The position of the unit and buttons were not really designed for someone else to use on you.

I also found it difficult to grip and felt it was sliding about too much for me to really do my thing. hehe. So, no climax this time either.

Couples with Remote –

So now we moved onto KD doing the stroking and me controlling the speed using the remote. As much as I felt this was a lot of fun, KD advised me that the vibration did not do a whole lot for him, and it was the stroking that would get him off not them.

I was a little disappointed at this, I was so hoping that we had found a guybrator for him that would enhance his play as well as allowing me to take part in the whole experience.

I was not sure if this was because vibrations don’t work for KD, I have heard so many people rave about how good this guybrator is. For a moment I was kind of annoyed at KD, I had been so looking forward to this and his penis was not cooperating. hehe. Then I came to my senses and remembered toys don’t always work the same for everyone.

What KD thought of the Pocket Pulse Remote.

I thought the Pocket Pulse Remote was one step up from a wank, better than a few other guybrators I have tried. I found it to be very loud and wouldn’t feel comfortable trying to use it in the shower.

For me the vibrations didn’t have any effect on me other than when used on a flaccid penis to get it erect. I felt that most of my pleasure came from stroking. I would imagine that for a single guy this would be an upgrade from using just your hand.

The remote was a cool feature that unfortunately left me unimpressed.

I would really like to try the Pulse III Duo as I feel this has a lot more features that would be better for couples. Also, maybe the fact that it uses oscillation rather than vibration might mean it is better suited to me.

The Pocket Pulse Remote didn’t really do it for us as a couple. We felt that it was too loud for us to use discreetly.

Unfortunately, it was unable to make KD climax, however he did feel it was a step up from just having a wank.

The remote would be better if it was able to turn the main unit on and off.

We felt this guybrator would be better suited to single men or solo play and would be best used without a remote at all.

The Pocket Pulse Remote is stylish, quick to charge and holds charge well. Is waterproof so can be used in the bath or shower.

The Pocket Pulse is easy to clean but dust does cling to it.

You can buy the Pocket Pulse Remote from Hot Octopuss for £75.00.
